An expressive portrait workshop exploring observation, watercolour and intuitive mark-making through the experience of working directly from a live model.
Drawing on my figurative practice, the workshop explores gesture, colour, fluidity and the expressive possibilities of watercolour, encouraging participants to move beyond conventional representation and respond more instinctively to the figure.
The emphasis is on experimentation, loosening control and developing a more personal visual language through portraiture.
