Interwoven, a group exhibition at Glen Carlou Gallery in Klapmuts, brought together works spanning painting, sculpture, and drawing from a diverse group of South African artists. Curated by Christa Swart, the exhibition drew each artist's distinct voice into conversation with the others, the works settling into unexpected connections and tensions the longer they were held in the same space. Working alongside Christa throughout the process, and taking part in the Artist Walkabout at the VIP opening, was a genuine pleasure - her eye for how disparate work speaks to itself shaped the exhibition as much as the art within it.
