Held, in Line, at Hugo at Hugo Modern & Contemporary in Bellville, celebrated the artistic legacy of Diane Victor's annual workshops at Muratie Wine Estate, bringing together Victor and twenty-seven participating artists who had shared her five-day winter workshop. Michelle Solomon co-curated the exhibition alongside gallery owner Jeanne Hugo, tracing the diverse bodies of work that emerged from Victor's workshops, each artist arriving at a distinctly personal language shaped by the same framework of enquiry.

As part of the exhibition's closing weekend, an Artist & Curator Walkabout paired with a tea tasting gave visitors the chance to speak directly with the artists about the work that resonated with them.
Residual, exhibited in Held, in Line, is featured in 101 Art Book: Dog Edition, published by Arts to Hearts Project. Where the Black Hound Series began as a darker, cathartic exploration of the black dog as a metaphor for depression, Residual marks a lighter turn in the same body of work - an attempt to hold both the weight and the waves of everyday life within a single image.
